fantastic kata all round. i did like the fact that after the first performance, the second competitor was clapping for his oppponent, good sportsmanship.
on the whole, i think they should both relax a little, make their movement a little less rigid, emphasise the slow movements to make the fast movements look faster. i saw alot of fast-stop-fast-stop.
if u wanna kno wat i mean, check the videos of Luca Valdesi doing his kata, absolutely awesome to watch, and all round nice guy too

lochlans kata was as close to technically spot on as i've ever seen.
i must admit though, i think i may have prefered the overall timing of dean's kata.
close call but lochlan's attention to detail and using a timing he could maintain his technique with was awesome.
