Bent Sørensen improvisation over I know a larks nest.mpg

This improvisation is based on an old melody that have been used by composers such as Louis Marchand (in his Te Deum from around 1700, found in the 2. book of his organ works) and Carl Nielsen (1924, with the larks nest song text written by Harald Bergstedt; hear his version it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JF-V14KKQyg). I use an improvisation technique similar to the modern French, but with use of a 12-tone secondary scale. Played at Søborg Church organ (24 stops), Gribskov, Denmark, December 2008.
