That isn't a false pretense, the mission isn't over yet.
To no avail? How is it to no avail?
It disrupted a major Al-Qaeda safe haven.
It gave us a major foothold in disrupting all international terrorism.
It allowed us to implement democracy within Afghanistan.
The Taliban killed women for going to school. Should we have allowed that to continue? Should we have let Osama stay at large to continue funding and planning terrorist attacks?
