What's the point?

What's the point of living without god? Why, life is the point, of course! Many times believers ask what we have to live for, if we're not living for a god. I don't think they're living for a god either, even if they have been trained to give him lip service.

Sorry for the shitty lighting and quality. I'm still figuring this filming stuff out. Thanks for all the feedback I've had so far. I am trying to improve this stuff but my budget is $0 :D

@xXxLolYouMadxXx While religion was making you FEEL safe, did it actually increase your safety at all, or just give you a false sense of security? When I was in high school, I carried knives (in my boot, at my belt and in my purse) which gave me a FALSE sense of security. It meant I FELT safe when I really wasn't, & it made me more careless than I would've been without that feeling of safety. Feeling safe made me unsafe in reality.

Absolutely spot on and intelligent. The question you answer here comes only from inadequate, but perhps kindly people. You and I cannot help them if they are not looking for reasons intead of beliefs. (Drop your camera to just above eye level and make sure the backgroung is soft. Your lighting is often very pleasant)

I agree. To disregard this life for an after life is absurd. I'd hope God would want us t enjoy this life. You made strong arguments. If the afterlife was the goal, doesn;t that sorta promote suicide then? I mean if as a christian, Jesus forgives sins then my sin of killing myself is forgiven and I'm on my way to heaven. Geez, the degree to which one could take that thought is scary. Fuck that.

@genext7 This is probably why most pastors/priests will tell you committing suicide automatically gets you into hell (for having an unconfessed sin on your soul, as the Catholics would say.) When I was a suicidal Christian teen, I'd just pray before my attempt that God would forgive me in case it worked.

@AngieAntiThiest My reason to live, is GOD. my father, my bestfriend my everything. How he gave his life on the cross for me and my sins. THATS my reason for life. Thats the reason i'm here. Thats the reason I wake up in the moring, I breath, I have fun, I feel free. @00loladead00 Sex is a natural explainable process, a "masterpiece" is known to be fabricated via experiential evidence, so why is it hard to believe one of the countless varying god stories you ask? There is no evidence or logic behind what you claim, we clearly have evidence and logic behind sex and paintings... You cannot compare them at all. Just because you now can't label beyond what you perceive as the beginning of the universe- doesn't mean you should make up a story to fill it in.
