MSM: WI Election, What's In It For the Koch Brothers

The historic recall election in Wisconsin has come and gone and just about everyone was talking about the role money played in this election. But what you haven't seen are people talking about the multiple direct connections to the Koch Brothers and Wisconsin. Other than all that money they gave to help Governor Walker keep his job, Koch Industries has an energy firm with about 3,000 workers in Wisconsin. Last year Scott Walker's budget contained within it a little known provision that would allow the sale of state-owned power plants without bids. And then there's the mining bill that was the cause for a big statewide fight. Insiders say that bill was basically ghost-written by ALEC. It failed in March but many believe the Walker win will now give a green light to welcome back into the state some of those Koch funded entities.

Am I the only one who thinks that if the pie chart was reversed, the left would be spinning this as a grass root swelling of support for their side as was the case with the push fro a recall that was largely influenced from out of state interests? Perhaps the people if Wisconsin are just a little tired of the rest of us trying to meddle with their state as evidenced by the results that can easily be understood as, we have a budget problem,& meant to elect him, now get the hell out if our state.

Good reporting. I had heard other interests of the Koch brothers, such as the right to work stuff in general, but good work reporting on the other reasons.

OMFG you guys check the eXile online, they linked the Koch suckers to the privatization of WI resources like last YEAR. They are directly benefiting from no-bid buyouts of public lands and utilities for their private benefit.
