I'd imagine most of the "cool" kids making fun of him will likely end up having long careers as Wal-Mart greeters, so don't sweat it. Good job standing up for a great game. Think D&D gets persecuted these days? You young'ns shoulda been around in 1982. Go look it up.

How is it that you have succinctly, yet completely unintentionally, captured the quintessence of every blind jerk in the world without even a hint of irony? I actually laughed out loud when I read the part about how people with a passion for intellectually stimulating activities are social rejects because some idiots in gradeschool were badmouthing them. Spiritual ruination from a board game... HA!

LOL everyone making fun of him. This is society's way of letting you know that you are not right and need help. Social rejects play this garbage tring to have friends, but wind up just getting further isolated from normal-thinking members of society. Thsi game only leads to spiritual ruination and an eternity in hell.

I'm 33 and nothing has ever created more memories or brought my group of friends together better than D&D -- the individual giving the speech is awesome, but he should have kicked that guy in the head whos phone went off! ~axes high~

Kudos for the gentleman for standing up and defending the hobby of roleplaying games, especially D&D. 1 - 0 score for the geeks versus the very dull jocks! 8-)
