Plot:
A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. It is cold enough to crack stones, and, when the snow falls it is gray. The sky is dark. Their destination is the coast, although they don't know what, if anything, awaits them there. They have nothing: just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearing, a cart of scavenged food--and each other.

If anyone hasnt read the book yet, i reccomend the audiobook version, it emulates the voices really well, the basement scene being an excellent example, and it's very easy to just get bored with some of the more mundane descriptions of the environment when reading it.

* SPOILER* Alright movie....not really action at all to be honest...just about Mortensen leading his son through an Armageddon while suffering from what I am guessing is some form of Lung Cancer.

Having read and watched this for my English Lit A Level, I can assure you that the film is nowhere near as exciting as the trailer makes out it to be.
