1 Byrd on Rome - Senator Robert Byrd - DVD 40497-1 - 1993-05-05 - The Honorable Robert C. Byrd, United States Senator from West Virginia, speaks on "The Senate of the Roman Republic," a series of 14 lectures on the history of Roman Republic and the relevance of history to our modern times. The senator winds up for 26 minutes with context and fulminations about our present era, then the next 14 hours of his exposition are a deep dive into the Roman Republic, from the beginning to the inevitable fall from which he wishes us to learn. This video was purchased from C-SPAN, which provided footage of the floor of the Senate as a public service.

Corruption was OK with him, but did give some great 'history' lessons...although it seemed he didn't learn from those history lessons at all. CORRUPTION is king is Washington DC now days and Byrd helped it happen.

This is the Sen. Robert Byrd in Cathy O'Brien's book, "Trance-Formation of America". Great book and an interesting read. (Found on-line).
