Kitchen Dog Theater in Dallas, Texas, is staging a very gory production of Shakespeare's bloodiest play, "Titus Andronicus," set in the Mayan Empire in 800 A.D. It's one of several violent productions KDT has mounted in the past year, which included Martin McDonagh's "The Pillowman" and Denis Johnson's "Psychos Never Dream." In this video, TheaterJones.com interviews co-artistic director Tina Parker; Lee Trull, who co-adapted the play with Leah Spillman; and gore designer and special effects guy Cameron Cobb, who shares some of his theatrical tricks.
