ServoCity Super Duty Actuator Lifts Lawn Mower

Introducing our all new Super-Duty 12V Linear Actuators. Now you have the power for those extra large projects. These actuators utilize precision ball screw drives which offer increased efficiency, life and precision over ACME drives. Built in potentiometer can be easily accessed for position feedback but is not necessary for operation. Limit switches at both ends prevent over-run. All aluminum construction with metal drive gears ensure tremendous durability and reliability. We offer them in six stroke lengths from 4 inches up to 24 inches. Extension shaft is 1.125" diameter. Mounting holes are 1/2" diameter and bolt up directly to our optional mounting brackets.

The Super Duty Actuator was wired to a 20A momentary switch and a 12VDC battery. We do not currently have a PWM speed controller capable of handling the amperage of a Super Duty Actuator but we do have one in the works so be sure to check back with us in the upcoming months.

So, if in it's current configuration on the cherry picker, its real weight is about 800 lbs, if you lowered the ratio by shortening the arm, say to the first position, it could probably lift the whole mower off the ground? Given that you would have to use a larger stroke, wouldn't that have been a better demonstration?
