  • Do your thing, man. i know you can't reproduce the exact sound that is at the venue, but I guess it would sound awesome. BTW, How old is the PM4K? What outboard processors were you using, Like gates and comps?

  • @Iriebent i dont remember. probably drawmer or bss comps gates, but i didnt use much. just gates on toms. that pm4k, not sure how old. probably 15+.

  • wow, good to see the PM4000 still in use. I thought they went the way of the dinosaurs.

  • @JonHawaii2003 i believe analog will make its way back once day. look at dave rat. whats he using? his xl4's, right?

  • Why on earth would you deploy a PM4000 and not use VCAs? Sounds terrible btw.

  • @ephelduath606

Didn't want to use the vca's. ofcourse it sounds terrible! it was recorded on a cheap ass digital camera with video capabilities! DUH!

  • How'd you connect the line array to the PM4K? Did you use the matrix or just the Stereo Out? Great vid and mix!

  • @ephelduath606 Rofl and usually there are 6 people going i can do better than that

  • What's the name of this song?

  • @jjdrummerboy I always liked analog stuff. I ran a Ramsa WR-S840 monitor console for years, it made sense. The newer consoles just don't seem user friendly and IMO don't sound as warm as analog. We had a PM3000 FOH console and ran 32 Claire S-4's. They could handle anything from Sting to Metallica to James Taylor. If you knew how to EQ the system it sounded AMAZING. But man was it a pain to fly. Them damn bumpers. But they were a lot easier than flying Hill M3 cabinets.

  • PM4K WOHOO!!

  • let me guess, this is one of those old yamaha consoles right, or am i way off. i think ive used this one before for theatre.
