I have been raised and still live in War. Some of these pictures are a lot older then some of the others. Half the places shown are not open anymore.

I'm from NC, but I dated a girl from War off and on for a few years ('93-'99). She was probably "The One"..... Anyway, I just stumbled across this video and just have to say that War looks like a cool place to be. I do remember that her dad moved down to NC when the mines in the area shut down. Seems like War would be a hard place to have to leave. Anybody know how the smallmouth fishing is there? Might have to plan a trip.
