An LS6 can go beyond a 383 on stock bore. A 383 is a 4" stroke. There are larger cranks out there... and while they may not be mainstream, it is indeed possible to go larger.

gmpp makes the lsx block and world makes the warhawk block. this is an lsx but i've seen ls7s stroked to similar displacements

ive never seen a LS2 at 449ci but hey i could be wrong seeing as that is probably your car. and the block by world products is officially called the warhawk LSX block.

Well, Corvettes arent my specialty but I think you just answered you own question :P If a stroker maxes out at 383 it would need a bore and stroke, because a bore alone isn't possible to pull it to a 449.

guys this isnt an ls6, ls2, or ls1 its a LSX warhawk block form world products. look it up on jegsDOTcom under engine blocks.
