This video served as the video element in the June 21, 2009 Broomfield United Methodist Church sermon "Hands at Your Service" by Pastor Ken Brown, discussing 'learning' and how God uses it as an enabler, and to empower us to not only function in the world but to follow him as disciples. The video is about a group of volunteers who teach English as a second language (ESL) classes in Broomfield and Brighton, Colorado. Not speaking English can vastly impact one's ability to function in society, often leaving them with feels of isolation or lower self esteem. This video speaks to what ESL brings to a student and how this group of God inspired instructors get more out the class then even their students do.
The video was created for Broomfield United Methodist Church, Broomfield, Colorado. David Nelson was the camera operator for the interviews, and Mitchell Ashley conducted the interviews, shot the classroom footage, and edited and assembled the video. Music is copyright (c) Michael Reese and was used with his permission.
I am interesting in this program....do they charge money to teach English? I want to join this program. :)
