Oh :D I think it WON'T be the end of our world. Every day such protons collide with our athmosphere, so why should ONE experiment on earth be so much more dangerous?

and by the way: All people, who work on this big project, has studied , havn't they? (i hope so xD)

I do have one question... The Big Bang... is just a widely excepted THEORY? What if there was never actually a "Big Bang"? Or am I wrong?

well, first of all: sorry4 my bad english (I'm from Germany xD) 'nd now to your question:

The big bang is a theory of the emergence of the subject (or matter?), space and time; and no gigantic explosion. Actually the 'Big Bang' can not be explaned right now :x

however, agree the scientists that from this "big bang" the single elements (or the matter) has been originated.

do you really think that one begins such a project (6 Billion Dollar!), without proving this theory? I'm sure: there was one

But what about the membraine theary. The 11 dimension where 2 membrains colide containing information and causing a big band. One membraine are perhaps larger then out known universe and there are milions of big bangs happening as we speak.
