The Chicago Burlington & Quincy 9911A (E5A) and the Nebraska Zephyr come out of the Illinois Railway Museum en-route to Rock Island, Illinois.
Engineer Dave Hawley is in command and smokes it past the many waiting fans present to view this rare event.
It seemed that every railfan in northern Illinois was braving the heat for the chase as the train continued to Rockford. Then south to Davis Junction. Finally west to Savanna and south to the Quad Cities and Train Festival 2011.

@dwkcamman611 Thanks. Yep it's a good one for sure. Great subject and the backlight worked with the smoke. And engineer Hawley know I was there so he notched it up.
