  • Very good wind turbine. I want turbine like that.

  • @PERARH Please dont copy that construction - it has lot of problems. 1) unstable materials - dont use wood, will work only 1 season. 2) central rod doesnot sustain more than 6-7m/sec wind. 3) maglev doesnot work in breeses + makes additional vibration due inhomogen magnetic field 4) generator dishes are not tolerant to axial angles, have broken 1 magnet and 4 coils. In Uwix-V3 project, those problems are solved - see V3 project page

  • I nice animation, but I'm not sure why everyone likes maglev so much. If your turbine is going to produce power it's going to have to put significant torque into the alternator, and the torque required to turn normal bearings will be insignificant. Why spend the money on all those magnets?

  • @sjh7132 Yes, the maglev principle has been proven as an unreliable in this type of generator. In current version V3 i have only bearings.

  • WORLD RECORD: BIGGEST WIND TURBINE

ZERO-NOISE from gears and generators since they're sealed underground.

SAVES THE BIRDS AND BATS since the turbines are slow-moving.

DOES NOT NEED TO OCCUPY A WIDER LANDSCAPE since the turbine can be very tall.

MAY BE LOWER-COST since it can use parts of junked trucks and others.

ELUDES HURRICANE FORCE since the blades automatically close.

HELPS THE WIND ENERGY COMPANIES since it is FREE FOR ALL.

  • You should be in line for a Pulitzer prize for this post! - Beautiful and elegant adaptation for suburbia - where a majority of the power is drawn, but community ordinances prohibit the conventional wind turbine. - the music defines the attutude to the whole energy mess.
