The video shows SynCE-KPM in action, which is part of the SynCE project. It shows the process of installing a CAB file on the device, creation of an ActiveSync partnership and the display of progress while activesync is working.

More details of the synce-kpm program can be found at http://wwww.guidodiepen.nl

  • Can you install *.exe applications with this program?

  • For the moment you can't. The problem is that currently I am not able to extract the CAB file from the EXE file. There are libraries in development that will be able to extract the CAB files from the EXE installer files automatically. For the moment you will have to do this manually (you can use programs like 7zip to extract the CAB files from most installers) and then use synce-kpm to install the CAB file.

I will look into this possibility when I have more time though.
