  • @stoxocube18 you are on the right road stox. keep up the good work.

I am east Indian so we eat alot of Turmeric and chili pepper, but I will try the cayenne.

My 2.5 miles every other day on the treadmill is best...cleans the mind and body. I also meditate and am still a student and got along way to go. The peace inside is better than any drug,sex,food,money,power....people need to learn to get closer to our real self. Its hard if you have been playing on the outside for lifetimes.he

  • @neilzep Thanks for your reply . I have accepted I'm an alcoholic and will never be able to drink normally again and have come to terms with it. I too am on Milk thistle and dandelion root as well to help repair any liver damage. I'd also recommend if you haven't tried it already, cayenne pepper. its fantastic for getting blood flowing to the organs and improves the efficiency of milk thistle as well as being good for the heart. My disease is almost certainly genetic as well...

  • @neilzep you will be for life. Remember its a disease of the mind/psychological/physical also might be genetic. You have no power over it and it has TOTAL power over you. That first drink you start again might be the beginning of the end.

You will have to let go to a Higher power as well, your Soul or God. Do it for your family better yet do it for youself. You only got one liver and one life.

    God speed.

  • @stoxocube18 alot over many years, started in 91. Binged on weekends, 2-3 beers after work. I hated my marriage, that really made things worse. O well, I am still alive and not in a hospital ...yet. I exercise 2-3 miles few times a week, watch my diet!! try to do the healthy fruits and vegs...not much meat anymore. I am also taking Milk thistle and a formulation for liver detox the last week. Feel great.

Vigorous exercise is best...good blood flow to the organs.

    You are a alcoholic,

  • @neilzep Thankyou, I know I am certainly an alcoholic, but am already seeing a brighter future day by day as i am sober :) How much were you drinking to get chronic liver problems? and for how long? all the best neil

  • @stoxocube18 Liver recuperate alot if YOU STOP. One or two glasses or wine or beer daily is not going to hurt with meals, If you binge and cant control your drinking...you are a alcoholic...its a disease. Disease dont get cured by doing the same thing over and over again by putting in a legal drug into your system. When I was young I thought I was invincible with my behaviors....prison and chronic liver problems and financial problems said otherwise. Go to AA,get a sponser,or a Doc.

  • @neilzep Hi Neil, you seem pretty clued up about alcohol and its effects on the liver so here's a quick question. I have been drinking very, very heavily daily for around 4 months or so and prior to that perhaps once a week in moderation (1-2 beers on a friday with friends) for 2 years. I have recently quit drinking since i started getting the shakes and have been sober for a month now. Will my liver be damaged after 4 months of drinking around 20 uk units of alcohol a day??

  • @neilzep youtube.com/watch?v=MImWvGatrb8&feature=related

    show him this

  • @nokiannie Well you can tell him he can email me here.

I was a pharmacist,I lost my license due to 2 felony DUI's and have developed chronic liver failure because of my drinking. I am only 45 also, made my life and others around me a mess. Lost everything. Its so sad its pathetic. He will lose his life, sanity.

There is a new injectable drug available for alcoholics also, but let him watch the videos on liver cirrhosis and prison...that will scare anyone.

Tell him todo it for his kids!

  • @neilzep Hi Neil .I have tried every thing to get him to drs he just refuses .tells me its his life not mine and that hes feeling fine but i see his legs are always sore because of diabetis .I am at my wits end
