  • NZ has about 18 months lag behind you guys. When the crash really kicked in the US all these morons in NZ were saying "it wont happen here because........", you know make up some line to insert small island, shortage of supply blah blah. NZ is fucked, and the worse is yet to come. Both major political parties are making "redundancy provisions" or NZ workers when they start to become unemployed. House proces have dropped 15% and are still dropping.

  • I agree, if all prices are falling, doesn't that include the price of labor? Then again, I'm a yank in the US, so maybe there's something about the NZ economy that can cause labor prices to defy gravity.

  • Not to worry, they can live off the remittances from the rellies who had foresight and who are living and working across the ditch!

  • Bernard, PEOPLE ARE LOSING THIER JOBS!! - how are they gunna be better off with no income???
