This is a fan-made game based on the arcade game that was seen in the movie. It's partially 1984 since the voice and sound sample was taken from the game that was used in the movie. it's partially 2006 since the game was recreated with the it's graphics looking so similar to the one seen in the movie. The only difference in the games are the fonts of the text in this recreated game and the graphics either look like flat-shaded or textured polygons. For the 3rd time, I finally beaten Ko-Dan Command Ship. I had to mess with the dip switch settings. It's very similar to what you see in the movie. After watching the movie, it made me feel want to play this game again.

This game was ported to the home systems such as Atari 8-bit, Commodore 64, and the NES. But they look nothing like the arcade version. This freeware game is the closest to the arcade version you see in the movie.

This game is a freeware and feel free to download it:

  • @WARPUDDY666

it runs on my windows 7 pc. To run this game in windows 7, you need the d3drm.dll file put it in the same directory as the starfighter.exe is located. You can google search this file and look at the first few links. It's free to download. This should solve the problem.

  • Looks just like the 80's game, but also looks very confusing. I'd like to see a modern take on this game.

  • @oldclassicgame thanks that fixed it and what a great 80s flashback, they did good making it look original to the game in movie : )
