  • Awesome video verwst, but I want to ask you how do you make the effect of 1:56 the colors to chang to another slide. what type of effects that? how do you do it? and the effect of 2:37 I haven't see in keynote. Can you tell how you did it?

    Thanks

  • @smilemelanie — First, thank you for your kind comments. The transition at 1:56 is called "Color Planes" and at 2:37 is a transition known as "Grid". Both transitions are standard opens with Keynote '09. Come to think about it, isn't it about time Apple cut loose with a new version? Take care and enjoy. veryWest

  • @verywest my first Macs were a LC 475, LC II and the LC 575 which was an all in one unit. I would assume you used the AppleWorks suite then? And then migrated to the iWork suite when AppleWorks was discontinued? 12gb of ram?? whaaa? ur greedy!! i only got 1!!! ur name should be veryGREEDY ... lol

  • @aaroninclub — "Older Macs" — 'Mac Classic Plus' with 2 megabyte of ram and a 90 megabyte hard-drive, System 7 — that was my first Macintosh and it got me through graduate school. Don't know if I would have made it without it. All that said though, I never found a use for HyperCard and now you tell me that I missed out. Well, I figured out how to use Keynote, Pages, and I just received a new iMac i7, 27" with 12 gigabyte of ram and one terabyte hard-drive. veryWest

  • @verywest when i had my older Macs, i used to play around with HyperCard all the time! HyperCard 2.0 was only black & white but back then it didn't bother me to much and it seemed fairly powerful and I made heaps of interactive stacks with it and used a special program that allowed you to insert QuickTime movies!!! Alot of the things in Keynote including features like "magic move" are things you wouldnt think of till you see them and lets all hope MS doesnt COPY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @aaroninclub — Thanks, I haven't thought of HyperCard in a decade but you're right. Yes, I've presented with Keynote to an audience of over a thousand people ("Common Hand Injuries"). They'd never seen anything like 'Magic Move" or object animation they way Keynote does. Love it. newSolo

  • @verywest yes, 2010 looks impressive but, it's introducing stuff that Keynote has alwaiz had.. yea, people think keynote is a rip off from PP when actually, HyperCard came out before PP !! and who created HyperCard? Apple!

  • @aaroninclub — You're right, Power Point cannot do this but, hay, it is getting better all the time. Of course, I still won't use PP as long as I have Keynote; why should I, Microsoft can't figure out how people like to use software. They just don't get it.

  • can PowerPoint do this? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO and even if it eventually can. thats called "playing catch up" and that doesnt count.!
