An Enchant-era performance of "Shalott," from her 'Opheliac' album. I got this from the Enchant Microsite portion of her website that you get access to with the original Enchant release. I'm not sure if that section's still up, so I thought I'd post it.

  • Man, this a effin' beautiful. And to be honest I wish she had used a piano in the studio version. It's spellbinding. I hope she one day goes back to this style if only temporarily. The audince were jerks though.

  • god i wish the people who are watching aat this club would shut up. i can hardly hear her!

  • I would really like my hair to be like that, it is so beautiful! One of my favourite songs -3

  • @xiomilolo There's a song rumoured to be on FLAG called "If I Burn," which I recall she mentioned in an interview she planned to include on Opheliac before she was hospitalized and the album took a hugely different turn. I suppose it's because she just writes what comes naturally then records it when it fits an album she's making.

  • Geez. As the beginning of the FLAG-era approaches, I cannot quite bring myself to not be in complete awe every time I see/listen to "ancient" Enchant-era performances. EA is great now, but, at times, I really do miss the Faerie.

  • I miss the old Emilie Autumn >.<

  • @xiomilolo She wrote "Shalott" in her Enchant era, but first released it on "Opheliac".

  • ok dumb question but: this was her Enchant era, right? But Shalott is in the Opheliac album... how come it wasn't released in the Enchant album? Just curious...

  • just listen to the girl SANG. and those beautiful live strings...

  • @MrJabberzz I know right? It's overwhelming how much she's changed over the years! She's incredibly gorgeous and inspiring and amazing either way though. ... Is it weird that I feel all nostalgic thinking about how she used to be, like in this video, when I hadn't even heard of her back then and really got into her a little more than a year ago? O_o''

  • @zanewoody I love that poem! I love this song, too. It's probably one of the loveliest, most genius and unique songs I've ever heard.
