During a cooking accident Mrs. Finemacher loses her Sheitel. Finding an acceptable new one is not an easy task for all concerned.

  • Please, what do you call the dark blue headgear the shop owner is wearing? Original Hebrew word and what it is called in English, possibly, many thanks!

  • @Aureleann im sorry i don't know.

  • The way men see women nowadays is totally wrong.

Women want men to look into their hearts and minds, not at their body.

Men are easily aroused (in a sexual sense), and we all know that. Look at all the ads nowadays exploiting sex and nude women. Nude women are being used to sell everything, from cars to beer.

The only way to be certain that the men appreciates you for who you are, and not the way you look, is to cover up. Decently.

As a Muslim, I salute you, and wish you peace.

  • As for my own practice, I have found that covering my hair with a scarf (completely) always elicits repect. Even those unfamiliar with Jewish observance seem to sense that it is for a holy purpose, and a sign of self-respect rather than oppression. And I respect our Muslim sisters for, in many cases, following traditions of modesty more stringent than ours. Alhamdulill-h- Baruch Hashem- Praise G-d!

  • it was a fun utube......someone wants to know what the headgear the shaitel macher was wearing.......Its a snood......I always think we look like those old cartoon characters "the Smurfs"...

  • @faklempt1 Also, in two scenes women are depicted wearing skirts with slits up the back that show the backs of their knees (see especially the last scene with the dog walker). This would never be acceptable in that community.

  • @Aureleann In English it's called a turban. I don't know what they call it in Hebrew or Yiddish.

  • In reality wigs are forbidden by Jewish law.

  • @Aureleann it's called a snood( english), but i don't knot it's hebrew name

  • @Aureleann. Isn't "TICHEL" ? In English= English " = "Head Scarf".
