Well, same thing with Dutch, if you speak it you can understand Afrikaans, Flemish, Frisian and Nether-Saxon straight away, it is also easy to learn English, German, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and so on.

@smoergaas I was born and lived in Ukraine, actually I speak Russian, not Ukrainian, but I understand it. Knowing Ukrainian and Russian, I can get Polish, Checz and other slavic languages. But except all these, I know also Italian and English. However, it's your opinion but Ukrainian really takes the second place as one of the most beautiful languages.
