Sang along to this with my 9 year old today - we really enjoyed it! This keeps going through my head along with "whats in a kiss". Can't beat it!

@centuryrox Here in Germany they play it quite sometimes on air. And I always turn up the volume and sing along in my car (am travelling a lot). You are right. Childhood memories.... and I was in Bradford few months ago..... so, just why did I have the name Radford in my ears and on my mind? *g*

released in 1972 on the MAM record label in UK mam.78. This was the "A" side. The "B" side was "But I'm Not" . Still have all the old vinyl will never part

why are my eyes all misty, i was a young married man wen this came out and my wife and i both loved this guy and still do
-
@dgalewiz Actually, no; it was not the 'B'-side of "Get Down".
Gilbert O'Sullivan's song "Ooh-Wakka-Doo-Wakka-Day" was released [as an 'A'-side] back in the summer of 1972; some 8 months before "Get Down" (his chart-topping single from April, 1973) was released.

"You wouldn't think to look at me that i was hard, but underneath it all, I really am. And just to prove it; why, only the other day, I picked a needle up with one hand"
Just one of many classic tracks by Ray O'Sullivan from the early 1970's. Back then, men were men ... and birds were birds !!

probably Tim and Julia dance at the lodge to this

Holy Moly. This really brings me back. I still know all the words. I still have the 45...Used to play this as a kid, for hours.....I think it was the B side to Get Down wasn't it?

I can honestly say that I haven't heard this song for at least 35 years! Wow, childhood memories come flooding back!
