  • Yup, just as I expected, that is a long shot for "thermosiphon pumping".

Scientifically, thermosiphon is nothing more that basic thermodynamics where hotter water, being lighter floats upwards against gravity and/or on top of colder denser water per fluid dynamics too.

  • Wow, that is a long, long, long shot, but the thermosiphon will nonetheless works unless cooled by the ambient cold air. If possible insulate the solar heated water in transit for better thermosiphon flow.

Super interessantes.

  • @DicasVerdes Muito obrigado pelos elogios.

  • thanks for the great video

  • Hi I am Brazilian and I liked the tips and put into practice

  • Ive tried this with about 750 feet of 1 inch black water pipe. Rigged it up to the boiler drain for cold water intake and poppet valve for hot water push. Seemed like it was taking forever! I could tell it was moving but just so slow. I think the resistance through the pipe was to great even tho it was 1 inch. I ended up pushing it through with a pump and it got up to temp allot quicker.

  • Very very impressive., and thanks . Great illustration. Im going with Thermosyphon using an enclosed box and double pane window frame over the top with the water storage tank some 8' higher and 30' away ; i expect there will be flow but very very slow which is alright since it will have all day to work till i take my daily shower at 6 pm. Thanks for doing this for us. Very encouraging.

  • Could someone please explain the workings to me, i have a project which requires me to do computation based on thermosiphon flows using software related to thermo-fluid flows, will it be doable?
