@archieb09 Yeah, he really didn`t say what he was doing but from watching his other video he had apparently just updated the firmware on the 1490 because it used to keep rebooting at the exact same point on that particular road.
The new firmware seems to have fixed it.

hello I have a question. can I use this device outside my car? like when I'm wandering? or do I have the to have the cables connected to the car at all times?

Is anyone else having problems with the 1490 Favourites folders? Creating a subfolder is not working (that is, when you want to group all your friends addresses, it wouldn't let you).
I still own a nuvi 260w and it always lets me create subfolder on the Favourites.

i have had a garmin 1490T for past month & used it to travel from Italy, through France & on to UK without a single problem with the SatNav :)
