At Brookhaven, super morbidly obese people struggle to reclaim their health and their lives.

I apologize for all the moving and disturbances. I was trying to position the camera properly, and get the picture to work properly, without weird black lines.

  • to be treated in pretty much the same as any other addiction, except that these people can never just stay away from food.

    How difficult would it be for someone who is addicted to alcohol, drugs, to stay sober if they could never actually stop taking it.

    A big part of regular rehab is staying away from your drug. These people can't.

    Of course they have to change. Their lives depend on it, but they don't deserve any more "hate" than any other addict.

  • Yeah. Just like its a person addicted to gambling has caused their own problems, or an alcholic, or drug addict.

    As the program states these people are suffering from addiction. Not to say that this means that their problems are not their own responsibility the definately ARE. But they can't change their habits by just pushing away from the table any more than a drug addict can just stop getting high, or person addicted to gambling can just stop doing it.

  • why go and waste peoples time by going to these places if you just going to continue being a greedy pig,there has to come a time when responsibility for yourself has to be accepted and stop eating so much food..no excuses..eat less and move around more...simple harsh truth in most of these cases is that they just fuking greedy and to idle to move their fat asses.dont like the truth..tough..truth can be hard at times.

  • @nansflicks roflmao! I noticed that! Watching these people eat like this is actually making me queasy! I'm so glad I took the inititiative to shed the 200 lbs my fat lazy ass was carrying around! EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE! 2HOURS A DAY.....AND THE MONEY YOU SPEND ON FOOD, SPEND ON A GYM AND TRAINER! You can still eat a lot..........but you have to MOVEEEEEEEEEE A LOT!!! DAMN!!!\

  • Depression can make things much harder i have depression too.

  • the addiction of food is so horrible. i suffer as well. i wish it was as easy as not eating. it seems everything you try to eat that is good is gross or no flavor. then i try just a little food and my cravings are ridiculous for starchs and sugar. i lost 65 lbs and gained back 30. at 44 really need to find help. depression is a major problem as well.
