Gay Marriage Issue Is Attack On A Minority

Senator Ron Latz (DFL-St. Louis Park/ Golden Valley) says "be afraid of the tyranny of the majority" not because the majority doesn't rule, but because the constitution is there to protect the rights of the minority, even if we disagree with them. Latz says a proposed constitutional amendment that would enshrine religious views in our state constitution is a "political tactic". Religious freedom, Latz says is for everyone, not just the majority.

No government is ought to DICTATE who to marry! Arranged marriages, hetero, has been, most of the countries, been abolished. And this is a civil, not religious, equality right, not a special right but an equal right. The choice is with whom we want to live with, not choosing to be gay/lesbian, which is innate. Who in hi right mind will chose to be mocked every single day of life by everybody?

I have been with my partner 15 years and we are going to get a civil Union as soon as it is allowed in Illinois this June.

Reading the Bible is Not enough, BTW. You must read it in context, and preferrably with knowledge of the ancient languages (ancient Greek, Aramaic,Hebrew) Since it has been erroneously and purposely mistranslated to further the power plays of Popes and Kings alike. Try reading "What The Bible Really Says About Homosexuality" written by a Catholic Priest.Unless of course, you prefer to live in ignorance so as to justify your sins of Judgment, arrogance, and pride.

Paul,who wrote most of the New Testament. In 1st Cor.6:9 he used an ancient Greek word (Arsenokoitai) which was a euphemism for the prostitution practice of the Caananites who were idol worshipers, where in they sold the sexual favors of young slave boys to older men.
