Displaced palestinian refugee families from Naher el Bared camp

In 2007, between May and September, Lebanese army bombed and destroyed the Naher el bared palestinian refugee camp in northern lebanese area of Tripoli with the excuse of ends Al Fatal al Islam, Al-Qaeda linked, sunni extremist group. More than 40.000 thousand civilian were forced to quite their houses and move to other refugee camps in Lebanon. Many of them went to nearest refugee camp of Beddawi, increasing the population from 25 thousand to more than 40 thousands. The refugees leaving in Naher el Bared Camp became at the same time Internal Displaced persons (IDP). Many of those families lost almost everything under the lebanes rpg grenade shootings and helicopter strikes, and pass many months living in temporary unhealthly shelters like garages, old strores, old gyms... This serie of pictures want to show a bit of the daily life for those refugee who become, also, displaced. Pictures where taken between October 2007 and January 2008. Working always as a freelance, some of those pictures wehere used by European Comission in a donnors conference to get found for the reconstruction of NBC. Actually, almost 4 years after war starts, hundreds of families continue living in temporary shelters inside NBC camp. There are not more families living in garages or gyms, but so far there is no a clear horizon for the reconstruction of the camp, destroyed 10 over 1o in most of its 90%. At the end of the war in September 2007, 250 militants of Al Fatah al Islam where killed and more than 300 Lebanese soldiers. Almost 15 civilian where shoot down by Lebanese soldiers during the very first days of the conflict.
