Holy shite, a fast calculation on 12seconds and 3300pounds tells me it has over 350HP at the wheel.
Really nice since a stock one has 180HP and does the same strip in about 16 seconds or More

@osvst i searched it, and it was not made for the US market if you look at wikipedia and type in Tritec Engine it gives the history which is believable , because i have been to brazil, and have seen minis over there. but brazil built minicooper engines with BMW and Chrysler they used to have a page in ALLPAR the dodge enthusiast website talking about this but that was some time ago, i dont know what happened to it

@Captainbob25202000 BMW made there own engine for the Mini a 1.6 N/A or a 1.6 S/C BMW would never stoop that low to ask dodge to make a motor... BMW built that engine in house in 2002 and has been a great motor ever since. easy way to tell is the Neons 2L was a Aluminum head cast iron block and the mini's 1.6 was all 100% Aluminum block and head.

@ThisWorks8008 the engine is a bored out 2.2L to a 2.5L and the engine was later used to make the chrysler neon engine which was very popular,and that engine the neon engine a 2.4 DOHC 16v engine was used in the base 1996-1999 dodge caravan SWB(short wheel base) later on the K-engine history continues as it was used in the neon it was also used in the first gen of the BMW Mini Cooper's
