@tommytalks77: Thanks for your amazing insight. Its fine to have your opinion, but I really don't understand why you would jump to such conclusions about my understanding of astrology, cold reading, and the concept of random predictions. I am not of the opinion that astrology can predict your future. You made that assumption. I do think that astrology influences motivation. If that wasn't the case, we could live without the sun.

"I do think that astrology influences motivation."

Very, very good point. That's about all astrology does. But that is, no doubt, a positive thing for many.

"If that wasn't the case, we could live without the sun."

Surely you know that no life of any kind would exist on this planet without the sun as a source of energy.

Perhaps I missed your point (I have had a bottle of wine tonight)

:-)

Yeah mate, you got my point. I believe that the sun, being our closest star, has the most inflence on our lives. Therefore, I believe that stars that are more distant have a less intense yet equally profound affect on our feelings and motivations.

That's the point. Teenagers with no or little experience should be similiar. Therefore it is easy to find common characteristics.

You just saw one. More to the point it demonstrated how astrology can be made to work with a few simple tricks. By default your position should be one in which you demand evidence for positive claims, not one where you demand negative evidence to disprove something. You have an infinite number of things you cannot conclusively disprove. The only sensible position is to not believe in things for which there is no evidence. Astrology is one of them.
