News Corporation Chairman Rupert Murdoch was interviewed last week by our colleagues on Fox Business Channel. Here he restates his belief that some journalism must go behind a paywall and sings the praises of the iPad - everything will end up on the iPad, he says. One look at the stats for the pre-orders that are being mailed to Apple and he could well be right!

It would be really costly to "produce a real quality newspaper" but producing a sleek package of lies is quite cost effective !

The dinosaur hasn't got a clue. His paywall thing is going to flop. The genie is out of the bottle, it can't be put back it. The only way for that to happen would be for absolutely ALL news outlets to start charging. Murdoch is delusional about his power and the importance of his company to people who will just vote with their feet.

According to the book "The Man Who Owns The News", Rupert Murdoch doesn't use the internet and that his wife opens and reads his emails for him. This clip completely backs up that assertion. He clearly doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. Someone's obviously told him about the iPad which is why he's talking about it. "There'll be these things in colour.. like tricks that you touch..." Extraordinary.

Occasionally, this guy says something brilliant. The rest of the time, he hasn't got a bloody clue how the world works. Ridiculous. Especially the bit about Google supposedly owing them for their content, LOL! Without Google, no one gives a flip about their content, and fewer will ever even find it!
