Using the Rane TTM 57SL mixer and Serato Scratch Live as a Loop sampler

This video shows you a cool little trick using the Hold echo effect on the Rane TTM 57SL mixer as a loop sampler / sequencer. It has very limited functionality, but you can make some cool little loops.

How to:

Set the hold echo to 100% Feedback on the channel you want to scratch/ sample.
Use the joystick to control the time parameter. Start with the lowest preferred time parameter first, as you can't decrease this value once you start, only increase.
Turn the effect on when you want to "record",off to audition / practice.
There is no undo - to delete the entire track, just lower the feedback level to 0% until it stops playing.

What effects come with it cause i either want to buy a pioneer djm 800 or a Rane TTM-57SL, i also already have traktor pro so yea which is better help!

@bomotsot There are dipswitches on the back of the 57SL which need to be set for either vinyl or cd decks....check the manual for the 57SL.

@djmisplacedmarblesTV If you already have a mixer I would go with Traktor and a Midi controller...just search YouTube for DJ Rafik and click the Traktor vid.

If you haven't bought a mixer yet I would look at the Rane TTM57sl that comes with Serato (kill both the DVS and mixer with one purchase)
