Sweet Road Drive

Sweet Road is the real name of a road that IS sweet. Located in central New York, it was always a favorite of kids to find out how fast their cars would go. Sorry to disappoint you all with the hopes of a high speed run but I never went over 80 in this video. The view you have is coming from I-81, LaFayette Exit to NYS Rt. 20E to good old Sweet Road in Pompey. Pompey, NY is a tiny hamlet in a township which is much larger. Turning onto Sweet Road you are treated to farms and fields and a long straight run (directional) heading toward Fayetteville. I guess when you are hauling ass everyone always worries about the country crossroads. Oh well, I would say this road is properly named and I hope you enjoyed the ride along. Ahead you can see Oneida Lake.

hey wimpie, yeah, I grew up on these roads and Sweet Road is a sweet road. The thing runs down a very long straightaway. All of the side roads have stop signs, yet many at them don't expect some idiot kid to be flying down there flatffooted in mom's Galaxy 500 convertible. Luckily we never hit anything but I had a couple friends that died on there on these roads, including my brother. You would have thought it would slow me down.
