Ylian Saint-Hilaire talks with Nikhil Deulker, Product Marketing Engineer for Intel Desktop Ports to demo the new tools and highlight a few of the key features. The Graphic User Interface for AMT Commander provides IT professionals with tools to detect vPro systems on a network, apply basic security filter (virus, ping, etc.), provide system defense, hardware based remote control, system power cycling, boot up from bios, boot from external hard drive image. It also provides key vPro hardware based features such as asset management, configuration review and access to NVRAM for configuration information and event log. As part of the conversation they show a demo of stopping a ping on a remote system to highlight the key feature of hardware based block of traffic to the OS.
