Jon Manteau, Part 3

2006 Back in the studio Jon is perched on a tall ladder surveying his latest pour. Then the conversation turns from technique to his years in New York as a student and his impressions of being in the heart of the mad 80's artworld. He talks about some of his influences like Julian Schnabel, Jackson Pollack and others. In another part of our conversation, that I might publish at a later date, he says that "he feels like the love child of Jasper Johns," and other artists of that period.
