I agree, no porn here, not in his words or in the photos. The porn was the bartering of human flesh Whitman witnessed,as a young man in the pre- civil war south and the unspeakable, inhumane carnage he experienced during the war, this man continues to be an American treasure.

@MrNoturaveragerednek Porn? Artistic photographs of the human body Whitman so loved he devoted pages and pages (including these) to it? To understand - let alone to love- the poem would be to respect the body, these bodies, all bodies. Peace and love to you.
