@ kissmeukiss22 if you did a little research and had an understanding of steam locomotives and diesel locomotives you would know that a steam locomotive is actually fairly green much greener than a diesel. All fuel used in a coal/wood burning stem loco is natural (no refined chemicals) so lower CO2 emittions also that exhaust is mixed with steam and mostly soot which will harmlessly fall back to earth in mere seconds to minutes what causes the ozone layer tare was the use of gasoline and diesel

@m3ohwell It's been quiet for a while, Ed- nice video! I rode the Cumbres & Toltec back in '73 or so, and will never forget the ride. Glad to see the ongoing work (2011) with the locomotives there. I am looking forward to going back, enjoying the smell of coal and steam!! Beautiful country views to enjoy. I still remember the thud-thud-thud of the valves, warming the boiler before sunrise...
