  • This is a good arrangement. However, I don't know how it would work with congregational singing. In my church, at least, we don't sing at the same tempo all the time (I once tried to do the same thing-record the music ahead of time, so I could do piano and organ- with an earlier keyboard and it didn't work too well. This isn't one that we sing, but I have heard the song before on a recording.

  • This "O Gladsome Light," a metrical paraphrase of the Phos Hilaron--not the Nunc.  The tune name is La Cantique de Simeon by Louis Bourgeois. (See Hymn 36 in the Hymnal 1982.)
