i alreadu tried to do this about 3 months ago. BUT THEN I FOUND UR VIDEO AND IT WORKED!!!! UR THE BEST. THIS MADE IT EASIER.

I would recommend that people AVOID doing this mod. I followed the instructions precisely, was able to get it installed, but then my nook was turned into a brick by some of the software included in this process. I have found zero help when I looked for it. I would not root this device unless I had a working copy of the software on another SD Card so I could restore it.

@NightSailor You must be doing something wrong...I have done this many, many times with many, many different nooks and I've never had a problem. I would recommend doing this as it opens up a whole feature set not possible with the regular nook software.

hey- you said to hold down the left side of the nook where the eink thing was located to restart the device after downloading the updates- but, it's the right side of the nook. for dummies like me i just thought i'd clarify. thanks for the video.
