Friends, it is the biggest mistake to give any credit to Yelp by visiting their site and trying to be reasoned with them. Just keep talking and explaining to your clients and prove them that Yelp is a high tech vandalism style for sick people verses old time where they used to take a rock and break our stores windows. yelp is a terrorist organization who has ponzy scheme Jeremy funded from foreign country who likes to destroy American businesses and control us by foreign owned corporations!

Um, these people are idiots... the star rating is the star rating, no matter what order the reviews are in. And, the reviews are by date. Like Yelp is sitting there writing up bad reviews for "Joe's Body Shop" in "Nowhere's Ville, Ohio." The ones that are filtered are brand new accounts that are created, with one review, only for that business, and it's an "amazing" review.
Yelp is the ONLY thing keep some businesses honest... the BBB doesn't do a damn thing.

I was writing a comment or a reply actually to a woman who claimed that someone with a negative opinion about a positive review from her husband on yelp went unheard and the harassment continued on. I was responding that yelp gets a lot of negativity and that it's possible that people spammed or gave false truths and yelp was being targeted. But the first time I tried to post it, it wouldn't and the second time it cancled my account. I was banned from yelp for posting in their favor LOL idiots!

yes, they are frud.. their filtering system has error,,, they don't know if negative reviews are fails or not... meaning they can not tell if someone just want to get even with u and failsly write somthing negative, this filteringf system can not tell if this is true or not....so that means any one can just slander anyone at any time... this is really bad..this kind of web site need to be close down... they are hurting millions small business people for their own profit....

I just stumbled onto this very thing today. I have used yelp for a few years, and my 3 star review was moved by itself onto a separate page that I can only find in my profile account. Meanwhile, if you google the store, you will find yelp reviews that are pretty much 5 star. I spend hours writing yelp reviews, being honest and fair. No more free labor! I was scammed. Shame on the store for also playing along, and not reporting it. Just like the Intel-Dell-HP antitrust lawsuit that AMD won.
