@dylankate1 cyclonic separation is not completely efficient particles do get by, and if you have a dyson take the bin off and run it yo will notice the tone of the motor goes down because it's able to draw more air the cyclonic assembly simply creates too much resistance
-
@EvilKlownz4u SUTCH A LIE dyson work and do what they say and the cyclones improve performance by sepperating more dirt from the air
-
@EvilKlownz4u I don't get why people are so adamant about defending the Dyson they are honestly not all that great you spend $500 on a vacuum for about $50 worth of performance all those cyclones and twists and turns in the air path make it difficult for air to flow reducing airflow to about 40 cfm

@Rodger599 They sold their former name to the Eureka company as to why they did it, i don't know. I will say they are not what they once where in terms of quality but my 2001 Epic 3500 is a better vacuum, as for the carpeting it was a loop pile carpeting the brushes are too stiff grabbed a loop and ripped a line of it out all the way to the wall. Did you know some carpet manufacturers' warranties are voided by use of Dyson vacuums...that should tell you something
-
@EvilKlownz4u If Electrolux are so good why did they have to change their name to Aerus because Electrolux had such a bad name. If you managed to rip a line out of your carpet, you must have very cheap carpet
-
@Rodger599 There's really no sense in debating with me i have a Dyson DC-17 and an electrolux 3500SR the Electrolux is the better of the two and i've personally watched the dyson rip a line out of my carpeting
-
@EvilKlownz4u: I had an Electolux before my Dyson, that lasted about 1 1/2 - 2 years before the motor burned out. Absolute waste of money. And the airflow wasn't anything near my Dyson, which is only a DC04. My Dyson has never damaged my carpet. I have had my carpet and my DC04 for over 10 years, and both are still like new. If you buy cheap, low quality carpet a vaccum with poor suction is probably better
-
@Rodger599 Actually the Electrolux has better airflow at the nozzle with a better brushroll that does not damage your carpeting it will outclean a dyson

Looks very 80s. Get a Dyson They're way better
Can someone tell me if the aerus upright HEPA filters like this one will fit on any of these uprights w/ the side vents (EPIC models)? They make motor afterfilters but the HEPA would be better. Thanks!!

yes the HEPA filters will work on the older models.
