How is the lead male treated the worst? Its just another version of 'the hand that rocks the cradle!
If you have an inferiority complex and hang ups to black women that's your issue. By the way there are many white women who don't want their husbands to lead! I'm sick of the black women stereotypes.

I think what youre doing is great but I feel like you are over generalizing saying "whites" dont like this movie, I gues you do see everything through an ethnocentric view but it really doesnt make you any better then the people that you complain about.

That movie was horrible. Idris Alba is a wonderful actor and he deserves more than this Lifetime movie/Fatal Attraction knockoff.

It was great! How a movie should be made.

LANSING52 has a complex and is trying to justify it by taking it out on the movie! Forget them.

I know you would say something different is it was the husband who acted violently (act like a man stereotype).

Pearl Jr, I agree with you about this movie. I saw it on opening weekend with two of my friends and it was better than I thought it would be. The temp sure was nuts. She looked crazy to me from the beginning.
May I also say that Idris Elba is so very handsome. I thought Beyonce did a very good job. I think that Regina King would have been great as the wife too.
When you get a chance please take a look at my you tube video titled real men love black women.

YOU DID NOT READ WHAT I WROTE DID YOU?
Violence as a resolution in this film was a complete folly. The movie clearly has an interesting set up through out the film with the Male lead as the Protagonist (most lines most screen time). The wife was a supporting role, up until the end (not the main story). The husband disappears from the film and Beyonce's "crazy ass" takes the lead as the "stereotyped angry black woman" too filled with pride to call the police? TRASH AND AN INSULT TO YOU!
You didn't watch the film did you?

Black women don't want a black man leading/providing. That's why the wife was made out to be the hero, not the Husband. Why didn't the wife call the police, or tell her husband to call the police? SO, VIOLENCE IS THE ANSWER?
This film plays into the I DON'T NEED A BLACK MAN STEREOTYPE. Even thought the lead male does everything right, he is treated the worst throughout the film.
If you are an angry, insecure, black woman, that hates black men and white women... Only then is this shit flm OK

So the Black man should have beat up the WW? I don't think so.
I love this movie and Whites hate it just like they hated the great inspiring movie, PRIDE, which was motivational.
It seems Whites hate this movie because the Black family wins!

If an EVIL woman attempting to take your husband, kidnaps your infant child, breaks into your house isn't enough justification for a Black women to get angry, then you are a racist against Black women, period!
If Black women were ONLY angrier then maybe BM would be better, WW wouldn't think they have a right to everything of value, and the BW's life would be better.
You are just arguing and not thinking this scenario through clearly!
