where are you getting your facts? because they are unfortunately incorrect. there are many women doctors in iraq practicing medicine, doctors and vets, as a matter of fact a female iraqi veterinarian helped a unit of Marines get several dogs out of the country...I would like to discuss this further with you message me.

the religious extremists only appeared in Iraq when the US killed Saddam, I don't say that it was a great regime, but at least it was a secular one, now islamic fanatics are taking over Iraq. women are not allowed on the streets alone anymore, they don't get medical attention etc. when before, with Saddam, they had the same rights as men. it was the only state in that region that had more female m.d.s than male!!! nowadays women are not even allowed to read or write, let alone practice medicine

Many of them have already gotten "in trouble" and continue to remain "in trouble" for their resistence of the Iraq occupation.

I can't speak for the panel members or IVAW, but personally I feel bringing individual service members to "justice" is pointless. This "war" fosters the culture that turns soldiers into murderers and terrorist. Service members did what they had to do, what they were told to do, and what they thought they were supposed to do.

IVAW supports the warrior not the war!

You know they are afraid of getting in trouble. Testifying in congress doesn't put you in the spotlight, it does it to others.

They don't really have to substantiate their claims anyway and if they can, an affadavit implicates them too since they were there and allowed it to happen.

It's illegal to lie to congress. Even if it wasn't they can still find you in contempt of congress too. That is, if they have the guts to actually do anything.
