CATIA V5 R19 Ink Pen Design Time Lapse
For my senior project in the Ferris State Manufacturing Engineering Technology program, I had to work with a group to take an existing ink pen design, which was assigned to us by our professor, and create a new version of it. The new pen had to use fewer parts to produce, fit the ink cartridge from the original design, and was highly manufacturable with the equipment and skill sets we possessed.
This is a time lapse of about 3 weeks of design meetings, engineering changes, and complete reworks left us with one pen body design, which consisted of 3 parts that we are now in the process of producing. I will upload part 2 of this video when we have completed production of the pen.
About Me
I am a full time student and I own a small contract CAD company called DeWys Industrial Design. I am always looking for new customers and opportunities. I am willing to work on any size project for individuals, such as a small part for your car, model airplane, or any other hobbies, or large scale jobs with teams from large companies or corporations. I have Tool and Die experience and am currently performing contract work for a T2 automotive supplier. My pricing is extremely flexible and is based on the size and type of the project. I am based out of Coopersville, MI, and I am running a legally purchased seat of CATIA V5 R18 R19.
