A quick tutorial I put together to show how to create the illusion on winter scene with a digital infrared photograph.

On a side note, yes, I realize I should have lowered my screen resolution before capturing the video. This is the first time I've used my new screen capture software. I'll upload a better version when I get the chance.

  • How come my green stuff changes in blue instead of white? :(

  • Do you know what is actually occurring when you swap the blue and red channels? I cannot find any technical information on what is going on when when one shifts the channels like this. Love the vid...straightforward and to the point. Thanks for taking the time to present to us.

  • Great tutorial, thank you!

  • All I get is black and white on a cheap camera, with the IR block off.

My filter is 6 Congo Blue gels- lee#181 and 2 Red ones. I get a nice IR image (low quality though)

    Nice, love your work
