@91177info the amount of cloud formation can easily vary depending on the amount of water and temperature of the air the plane is passing through. not to mention any variations that might come as a result of speed and altitude changes.

it wouldn't need to "turn off or on", the plane might simply have passed through a warm pocket of air or experienced any number of variables that would result in the same effect.
