No the guy designing and building the effects is not Errol Thompson. Just a talented engineer called Errol who built effects for Coxsone sound. Errol Thompson was a different man: an underrated Jamaican mixing engineer and dub producer for Randy's.

i hope that's Errol Thompson, the best and most unknown dub engineer. He could murder mixes with nothing but a reverb. The mouse and the man,1 of many genious mixes
